Nettle Hydrosol
Spritz directly on face to tone skin and aid with acne. Can be used on scalp for healthier, fuller hair and to clear dandruff. May be used as replacement for water in skin and hair care routines. Best kept cool or refrigerated. Shake well before use.
Ingredients: Steam distilled fresh spring stinging nettle (Urtica dioca) leaves and organic cane spirits (as preservative, 2% ABV)
All of our hydrosols are made in small batches, in an 8 Liter copper steam distiller using herbs grown on the farm. Hydrosols, also known as “flower waters”, are the steam distillation of fresh or dried plant material (leaves, fruits, flowers, bark, or root). Hydrosols can be seen as the byproduct of essential oils with similar properties to essential oils. These aromatic waters are much less concentrated and have a softer and more subtle smell when compared to their essential oil counterpart. This aroma comes from the water-soluble constituents in the plant material that are not present in the essential oil. Offering skin care benefits and uplifting aromatherapy properties; they make wonderful single ingredient perfumes, deodorants, facial toners, air fresheners, aromatherapy sprays, bath additions, and can even be added to flavor foods and drinks. Since they are water based, they are generally one of the safer products to use with pets and children as well.
