Forrest Gauder

A farm consultant and Taekwondo sabeom. Forrest from a young age learned how to grow food and herbs as he grew up on an organic apple orchard in the same mountain range he currently resides. He has always been drawn to gardening and creating spaces where life can thrive. Forrest has been guided by the cannabis plant throughout his life and focuses on cultivating the highest quality cannabis genetics and plants. When he is not in the garden you can find him woodworking to create custom furnishings, raising animals, working as a local carpenter, and landscaping. His motto is through dedication and determination anything can be achieved.

Patricia Vargas

Multigenerational herbalist and farmer. As a child, her grandmother introduced her to plants as medicine. With lineage stemming from Puerto Rico, Peru, Africa, and Asia, she carries the traditions of herbalism, cultivation, and curanderismo (Indigenous folk healing) in her work. She has studied with the many teachers of the California School of Herbal Studies for years as well as clinical herbalism under the guidance of Olatokunboh Obasi of the Omaroti Well of Indigenous Wisdom School in Puerto Rico. Patricia has experience in working to restore the land with native, perennial, herbal, edible, mushroom and animal species in multiple ecosystems. All of her products use herbs from Sun Roots Farm and the local landscape and are created with an honoring to her ancestry.
